LIVIN' LIFE!® IS A WAY FOR ME TO EXPRESS MY GENUINE LOVE FOR LIFE.
A MEANS TO ESCAPE
I created Livin’ Life!® in 2006 in Atlanta, GA, two years after I graduated from college. During that two year period my outlook on life changed dramatically. I was no longer surrounded by inspiring, optimistic and motivated individuals like I had been all of my life. Instead, most of the people I came in contact with seemed stressed out, up-tight and bitter. I don’t know what it was that made them that way, but I knew I didn’t want that to be me. There is so much in this world to see and be thankful for. I needed an outlet, so I decided to pursue my dream of creating my very own brand. However, to me it is more than just a mere brand. Livin' Life!® is a way for me to express my genuine love for life.
THE NAME
The inspiration for the name “Livin’ Life” came from my uncle. He always told me “you gotta live life because we’re only here for a minute”. Meaning our time on this earth is so short, it’s like we’re only here for one minute. And I don’t want to be stressed out all the time during my minute. So, I decided to name my company Livin’ Life!® in hopes to inspire inside creativity and bring out that genuine love for life buried deep inside everyone who wears the brand.
FROM A DREAM TO REALITY
With no formal fashion training and only a limited amount of funds, I took a leap of faith. I was willing to do whatever it took to make my dream a reality. So I took the little bit of money I had and ordered a couple hundred shirts, built a website, got my business license and registered my trademarks. I didn’t really have a lot of knowledge in any of those things, but with a little research and determination I made it happen. I am a firm believer that "whatever you think, you shall become, as long as you stay young at heart, are not afraid to take chances and never under any circumstances give up on your dreams."
A LOGO WITH A MEANING
The LnL is more than just a logo. To me it symbolizes my love for life. It is a constant reminder for me to live every day like it might be my last. No regrets, no worries, no stress. Just fun, adventure and relaxation.
